Woodfin makes a good point when he says "Good coaches are good teachers". One of the best teachers I had in my History Department at WEHS was Robert Scott who won a state BB championship and went on to coach at UAB and Bama. I had a chance to observe him as both BB coach in practice sessions and in his classroom as a history teacher. He excelled in both roles.

Both Scott and Woodfin had a specific process for making a difference in their student's lives and by carrying it out, they both produced successful young persons. I wish Scott had not been struck down at such a young age.
I hope we can somehow get Zac back onboard here at UAB

That indeed would be great for UAB and its program. We can start by furnishing the necessary facilities to match what he has now so he can do his best work. I'm sure he would seriously consider returning because of his relationship with our coach and the urban environment of UAB.
If Zac produces results at USM like he has everywhere else, he won't be at schools like UAB or USM much longer.

He was a great loss to the football program. Just like Coach Clark, Woodfin is a difference maker.

If Clark builds the program as big as he says he can we won't have any trouble keeping him and we will be poaching coaches from places like USM.

The days of thinking and planning small are coming to an end
Is it just me, or does reading anything about Woodfin in Hattiesburg just piss you off all over again?
