Has anyone heard any comment from the BOT? I know that watts talked to them before he made the official announcement. You would think that if one of your campuses made such an important decision, there would be a statement made.
Wait until the contracts for AD, HC Clark and the facilities upgrades start coming to them. That will tell the story of what we can expect in the future.

Frankly, they don't have many avenues available to them. Support Watts some more? Talk more about how great the system is? Congratulate the people that they opposed up to the last minute? They release another lukewarm statement and all they'll do is piss people off all over again. No matter how much PR they utilize, it can only go so far.
If they released a statement, it would probably read "$?!&:$/)/!!!!!"

Unless I missed something from the BOT, UAB got its FB team back in exactly the same financial straits it was in on 12/2/14. Neither the BOT nor the Watts administration has promised any new money (or support for bonds) to provide a better environment for UAB sports. Before, it was reported that the BOT blocked contributions to improve on campus facilities. Are those kinds of obstructions going to cease or be continued? More money will only help build UAB FB if it can be turned into new facilities.

In other words, they are watching to be sure we raise enough $$ , and if not,, then WHACK,, they pull the lever and there goes the guillotine again.
