And that my friend in lies the problem. UAB has become the thorn in the clumsy elephant foot.

Screw 'em. They kicked the hornet's next. They deserve to get stung. Besides, there are really serious issues far beyond football that are getting pulled out into the light. Her work and John Knox's are solid research and content wise, this isn't some yammerhead in the Al.com comments blathering out of ignorance and prejudice.

Tell me again why UAB has to jump through so many hoops regarding sports when its operating revenues are greater than all other Alabama universities, with football, combined?

Because UAB has to go hat in hand to the UA Athletic Committee and say, "Mother May I?" for anything it wants to do.
