Technically the school has paid him until next year. If I were clark Id want a 6 year contract so I can have time to fix the damage done.

His current contract runs through the beginning of 2017. He is being paid $41,666.67 per month. The most recent payment of this monthly amount was on the University's April 30 payroll.

After restoration of UAB Football, Bowling and Rifle. Coach Clark's contract should be extended through the beginning of 2022 with a substantial increase in base, numerous on field success bonuses as well as academic and graduation rate bonuses as well. The man has put up with more "crap" than they should have to deal with for being successful!

Totally agree with you 1000 percent. Should make at least 1 mil, same as Hasse.

I would expect that FBHC Clark will stick around to provide the best possible chance of FB being restored. As for signing on for a long term contract after that, it might depend upon the amount of money UAB can and will be allowed to spend to provide the facilities he was promised the first time around. If the BOT still acts to block these improvements like before, he may not be willing to wait it out again.

After all, his career clock is still running even while UAB has no team, and IF waiting for the ten years to be vested in the TRS is accomplished by 2017, he could feel that will be the time to move on.
