I can't recall ever using the word hate to describe my feelings toward anyone, until Watts and the UABOT came along . . . . and it seems to grow daily:

"Costs for renovating the fieldhouse were about $400,000, or the amount of money UAB gave Troy to buy out two scheduled football games."

I was halfway relaxed this evening, and now I'm pissed off all over again.
That's $400,000 should never have been spent. But since it was, and given the circumstances, it should have been taken out of Watts' salary.
Not only are we renovating Troy's fieldhouse, we never so much as had one. This sucks so hard.
But it's all a part of the long-term plan to enhance other sports at UAB. We're building championship programs. We'll recoup all lost funds in the next three years now that we aren't dumping football scholarships back into the univer...

I just threw up in my mouth. Watts must have a strong gag reflex.

Watts is the result of a strong gag reflex: vomitus...
I just figured out why his PR people are having so much trouble. They are used to being hired to polish a turd.

It's hard to polish infectious diarrhea.

Well, we've probably turned South Alabama into a contender.
USA will win the Sun belt thanks to ray Watts and the UABOT. With that success the UABOT will start hating on them next. While their board is not connected they have the influence to make their life miserable as well.
I saw on Twitter where somebody suggested Troy's field house be named the Ray Watts Fieldhouse.
So the UA System BOT can claim it has aided the improvement of two state university's football programs in Alabama, just not the one that was in the UA System. Who said "charity begins at home"?
If you claim that UAB's program should be shut down for financial and attendance reasons you should also support shutting down every team in the state of Alabama outside of the two SEC pro franchises and all but about 25 teams in the country out of hundreds.

Probably not, but the situation did help us out of a huge jam. We lost a ton of players on both sides of the ball (its part of being a new program - you end up with unequal classes). Our schedule is brutal next year too. Basically,, your players probably turned a 4-8 team to a 6-6 team.

We just kicked the 'miserable adjustment season out a year'.

When is USA's spring game? I am interested in the roster spots taken by the UAB transfers, especially the 3 out of our top four QBs for 2015.
Thanks for the reno guys. 04-cheers

The reno was probably going to happen once we broke ground on the North Endzone facility following the 2015 season. Im guessing the 400k just spead things up for 2015 recruiting.

But I really do feel bad for you guys. seriously

I think you underestimate our players a smidge. For their sake, I hope you are pleasantly surprised. I want them to close out their careers well. They deserve it, and I think they'll do well at USA.
