Can't wait to hear the REAL story as why a coach is fired after a very successful first year.

Wait a minute it's no longer April 1 is it?

Wow. That SUcks.
What did he do?

Same thing many college kids do. Nothing much good happens in a bar late at night after one too many pops.

Sounds like he was inappropriate to some lady's, got slapped, and got bounced from the bar.
He Soliched?

Didn't Frank just pass out in his car in the street?

And not to make light of this. If he has a problem with alcohol, I hope this is the wake up call he needs to deal with it.

Doesn't sound like he has a problem with alcohol. Sounds like they get along pretty good.

I'm still a bit confused, you said "he was inappropriate to some lady's." Some lady's what? And I thought this happened in BG?
If they got any sense at all, instead of this trying to get the promo coach, Dakich, Orr.... they'll get back to grassroots and they'll go after Ernst.
Sounds like he would fit right in with Gene Cross from what I have heard. He even got slapped by the alleged victim.
That's enough to get someone fired? He didn't break any laws, was not arrested from what I know. He acted like an arsehole and may have gone too far with some women, but to get fired for that seems a bit over the top. There must be more to it since he got slapped then bounced. If he didn't get arrested, then someone had to elevate it to BG officials. Why would they do that unless he really did something stupid and offensive vs. calling the police to press charges for the behavior.
Because it fits into an already established pattern? I think a few have already intimated, that's the case.

Drinking problem with previous incidents?

The term letter explains it perfectly. Just because you didn't get arrested or break any laws doesn't mean you can't/shouldn't be fired.

Right. I got confused w one of UM's old coaches, I think who had touching prob with waitresses in a bar. But it sounds like alcohol played a role.

If he's slapping women on the butt I'm pretty sure he was breaking a law.
Looks like BGSU has now outed he family that reported this albeit indirectly. They released an e-mail that, while redacting names, gives some key info that would identify the BG student involved. Hope there are no problems from this.

Basketball players often try to go backdoor.
