Introduction of press... First time I have seen that agenda line on a UAB specific meeting... Expect PR spin

It was on there in the January compensation meeting. Its just for Kelly Reinhart to introduce whatever press is on the line to the committee. There is no bridge between the listeners and the BOT members so they cannot hear you. You can only hear them. The only press on there last time with Scarbinski and one other.

They will say Oh look what we did to support UAB!

& even Kevin wasn't allowed to ask questions in the meeting last time he was in it.

Is this the meeting where they approve Bill Clark's contract ?

An updated Agenda was just sent out. Looks like they dropped the toll-free # to dial in.

2 pm FRIDAY MARCH 27th , Call in shortly before 2pm, 205-348-2800.

You will be asked to announce yourself: I suggest the obligatory "Fire Ray Watts", Bob Witt Blows" or something generally offensive.

On the January call, the committee could not hear the public, but the public can hear the committee and whomever gets the "special Number".
Porky Pig or Allen Bolton will most likely be on the call.

The Agenda is the same. Just the Compensation Committee to hear & approve Haase's contract amendment.

Trustee Joseph Espy III defended Watts and addressed those criticisms briefly after Haase's contract extension was approved.

"We're going through a time where if you listen to some people, you'd believe that everything going on at UAB is bad," Espy said. "In fact, it is just the opposite."
