Sad to hear he died at 67 this week. I can clearly remember holding and twisting a transistor radio to get sketchy reception as the 1969 BG game wound down. With two seconds left Toledo was behind and sent Crots out to boot a 37 harder into the legendary BG win. No real hope that he would make it but somehow, clear as a bell, I heard the announcer calling it good. Still the most thrilling moment of UT football history for me. The kick secured UT's fourth straight win in "The Streak". RIP, Ken.

Probably that, followed by the Villanova win, and the California Bowl winning FG. All pressure pack situations with meaningful Rocket victories.
Only a few teams really separate themselves from the pack with the will to win.
Don't forget the come from behind 1970 game vs Miami in the GB where #16 scored on an option very late in the game from the 1 yd line to give UT a thrilling 14-13 win for what I think was no. 19 or 20 in the streak.

Go Rockets!!!!!
Villanova was almost identical but for the kicker. My first game as a college student and the streak was going to end. Thank God for Ealey and Kiem.
I did not know Kenny but I went to college with his brother Virgil. The Crots family consists of some terrific high character people.

I knew Virgil as well. Def a good guy. Not the kicker his brother was.
Worked at local glass manufacturer with Dave Crots, another brother.
Again, another high character person. Their mom and dad did a great job raising their kids. 01-ncaabbs
