Per Jon Solomon's twitter https://twitter.com/jonsolomoncbs:

OSKR: Analysis would have been "unbiased economic opinion". UAB football study would have taken same economic approach as VICE articles, but informed by better data provided by UAB. We made it clear if study for UAB contradicted Schwarz's 1st research, we would explain why internal data "painted a different picture."

"...If that was the outcome, we felt Andy would have more credibility than any other researcher" to explain differences.

"No one from UAB President's office, nor Dr. Watts himself, took the time to ask us about this."
And why would they? They never cared to in the 1st place.
Go UAB, Fire Ray Watts!!!
It's an absolute WAR!
A special thank you to OSKR for this extra ammo.

You can tell they want this job. It'll be an easy paycheck to tear the B.S. to pieces.

Their words. We wanted what is best for UAB and its community. Ray Watts is interested only in destruction.
The fix was in now everyone knows it so UAB administration credibility is shot with everyone....well all most excluding the BOT of course.
That's precisely why it bothers me so much.

Right now, Dr. Watts and the administration are entirely untrustworthy. These are people that have lied, misled, and attempted to get their way under the guise of trying to promote more and better communication. It's hard to believe they had the audacity to point at OKSR essentially say that they can't be trusted because a guy was critical of a report that proven to be flawed? After all the stuff they have done to the school, they're saying that this firm can't be trusted?

It's laughable, but I've come to expect as much. Has to be the worst university president in the entire country.

And the NAS leadership
Remember all those firms that turned us down? This is going to take forever.

I can't imagine any reputable firm touching this now. The Watzis have made it toxic (and that may have been their intent, though I'm not sure how smart a move that was on their part).
Those were the accounting firms, not the sports consulting firms.

They did want the job, I am sure of that, but not because it was an easy paycheck. I know that with absolute certainty.
I hope they sue snot out of UAB over it.
+1...needs to be some sort of suit going here.

Could the Football Foundation pay for the study's completion and subsequent release to all major media outlets? They've proven they can raise six figures in two days without even trying.
Why haven't we heard from Don Hire yet? If this process is to retain any legitimacy at all, it's time to hear from the independent members of this task force.
I'm game for a suit. Double breasted.

That said be patient. You will see something Monday.
It came out, what, Thursday? The committee was supposed to meet with OSKR Friday, and probably did meet. Nothing gets posted regarding those meetings until the following week. I strongly suspect (hell, Attalla just told us) that we'll be hearing from them. It's going to be very interesting. I doubt that Messina and Hire are going to be as meek and mild about it as Smith was.

Smith has got to go! He was against the OSKR hire to start with and made it clear from the beginning he would rather hire the firm whose owner is in bed Bill Carr, but like he go little politician, he went along with the majority of task force members. Now that Watts has again given him his marching orders he is falling right back in line.

Are there provisions in the NAS governing documents to remove a sitting president in mid term?
If nothing else, there is an NAS election coming up. Ten seats.

I want one.
