Will this conflict with the media campaign funding?
How does a fan communicate such interest in UAB football to this committee?

Two separate things... so it depends on who gives how much to what.
I also am curious as to how they will gauge ticket interest and donations. Where will they get a list of possible/probable supporters? For example, just because folks haven't been season ticket holders doesn't mean they wouldn't be willing to become season ticket holders in order to save football.

"The task force also plans to create a website for donors to establish those agreements and for fans to buy season tickets, which would be refunded if the sports are not reinstated."
This is the real Campaign for UAB.

Bingo.
Gotta love how we're forced to justify these programs like kids standing at a four-way stop holding out donation buckets.

Have we put tables outside Walmart yet?
Agreed. We have had season tickets since day 1 & now we have to show that we would support it?

I say we storm the court.

It is unfair as all hell to have to justify any of this. They (Watts/BOT) should have to justify what they've done, but unfortunately that is not the situation. This is going to be about the cash, and so yes, this is the REAL campaign for UAB. The number of $10MM from city, insiders, season ticket holders, etc. is the number that I've heard repeatedly and consistently.

If the Campaign for UAB doesn't hit it's $1B goal, the complexion, culture, and future of the school does not really change. If the support here doesn't get football back (and that is the deal, I am confident of that) UAB will be changed forever, and not in a good way.

Great post, and I agree 100%. Coach Clark was building a fan base through being a great guy, and winning. Watts should be sued for MILLIONS, because that is what he has cost us!
