The UT Athletic Marketing Department strikes again!!!!!!!!!!

WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?!?!?!
The XXX-out crap is so overplayed. It's meaningless.

Agree. A). White isn't a UT color. B) it's pretty tiresome. C). Can't think of a C.
A single color scheme in this game is kind of funny considering how close in color Kent and Toledo are. If Ohio was here wearing your colors could be seen as intimidating in its solidarity. Kent players would be used to it from seeing essentially the same thing at home.
It works if the crowd is into it and active, and present. The crowd last night was completely lifeless for the first 39 minutes of regulation. To me, the primary offender that led to that is that Kevin, the hype man. In my section you could literally hear audible grumbling from fans in every direction every time they turn his mic on, and it's a complete buzzkill. That stuff might work for the 8 year old kids at The Mud Hens games, but not at Savage, unless it's the one promo where they throw the tshirts with money inside. That's the only time anyone besides him is making noise during timeouts.
It also doesn't help that the students sit there and do nothing the whole time.
We try. There is a very small group of people that dont care about getting in others way by standing in front of them. In my point of view there are 4 rows on one side that care winning or losing. The place gets loud when we play well... But even I was having a tough time getting juiced when nothing would fall. The last minute was entertaining and we played well enough to be able to dish it back to Tracksuit Hall on the bench for Kent. Should we have more students and should they be louder? Of course. Right now its not the culture at UT tho. Still we have more vocal students than 10 MAC schools. Going to BG is embarassing.
