Meet on the Campus Green at 7:40AM.
March to Snoozy's at 7:50AM and start chanting during Trustee's Meeting.
There will be guest speakers.
Lunch will be at 12 by Dreamland.
There will be giveaways.
ALL media will be there!
We need a great turnout! Take a sick day or a vacation day. This needs to be big.

We will march earlier than 10, lead by students. They idea is to be there before 10, chanting.

The students want to meet at 9 and march over. Obviously those that will be inside for the meeting will be gathering earlier to gain admittance.

The green isn't that far at all, so as long as the March gets underway before 9:30 the mob will be out there in full force prior to Watts' big speech in front of his "constituents."

Anyone going inside making signs?

Keep them small but bring them. We need a crowd around that building well before the BoT gets there. They need to see and hear us.

Give them hell.

8:30 a.m. Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, and Planning Committee Meeting

9 a.m. Break

9:15 a.m. Board of Trustees Meeting

9:45 a.m. Break

10 a.m. UAB Institutional Presentation

Also, the SGA and Faculty Senate will be presenting during the Board meeting so we need to have a big presence inside to support them.

I plan on being inside.

If the SGA & Faculty Senate do not totally unload on the BOT on Friday, it will be a missed opportunity.

So what time should we be there Friday morning? I'll make a sign and be there at whatever time.

I would say 8:30ish.

I would say if you have no intentions of being in the BOT meeting room and only want to protest follow the schedule listed at the top.

If you plan to get a good seat inside get there before 8:00AM. I will get there at about 7:30. If there is a big crowd you may not have a seat at 8:30.

I'm closing my business Friday and all employees (all five! all UAB grads!) will be there. All of my children will be there.

A previous version of the schedule mentioned BOT was staying at the Westin Hotel - Uptown. It was subsequently removed from the "Updated" version. Also note the meeting times on the Agendas don;t seem to match up --- I would use the "Updated Schedule" times.

Also, the "ACTION ITEMS" mentioned on the Committee Agendas are what? I don't know, maybe on some previous minutes...?

UA System Trustees to Meet This Week

Birmingham….The Board of Trustees of The University of Alabama will meet Thursday, February 5 and Friday, February 6 in Birmingham. All meetings will be held in the UAB National Alumni Society House on the UAB campus.
