Well get in the office today to find a vm from one of the softball girls thanking me for my giving last year. I wish I'd been there to talk to say more but not sure what I'd have said would've done any good since it wouldn't be said to those that really need to hear it not to mention the language I'd have used would've been inappropriate for her ears. I would've thanked her for doing such a good job athletically & academically under such extreme circumstances though.
I received one from sand volleyball lady.
I think that the girl who called me was on the softball team as well. They must be taking turns calling. It was a very simple "Thank you for your contributions to Blazer athletics" or something like that. I said something like "nice of you to call" and then she said goodby.

I felt absolutely no need to unload my feelings about Watts and company on a nice UAB student athlete though I do think the phone calls are attempts to win back boosters after all that has happened to drive them away. I can't even blame the athletic department for trying.
My call was from CJ Washington

No, they did this last year as well. My wife got a thank you call from Robert Williams. They call season ticket holders who make a donation for their seats as well as other donors. Understand that these are not calls asking for money, it is athletes saying thank you for the donations that help pay for their scholarships.
These are the normal courtesy calls for thanks & not related to Watts.

I guess they forgot to call me last year.

I also had a very nice conversation with CJ and thanked him for him taking the time to call. I will still be a fan no matter what Watts does

Mine too.
I talked with a pleasant young lady from the softball team; I told her thanks for taking the time out of her day and I really appreciate the call.
Just got one from a bowler. How ironic. I told her we're still fighting for her, her team mates and the other teams.
Mine was from Ally Slaughter. Mmmmm
Just got a thank you call from Bailey on the volleyball team.

Everyone protests/feels in a different way. As I said I would have been nice about what she has done but not about the situation which she will eventually feel the pain from one way or another
