Shannise Heady and another EMU student died early Sunday morning. Terribly sad. Condolences to her family and the EMU community.

Shannise was at Savage yesterday playing for the "Hurons" against the Lady Rockets. Makes the saying "Live every day like it will be your last" ring sadly true in this case. Prayers and condolences to their families.

always tragic when someone that young loses their life. So much of life to look forward to.

Hope it was not from drinking and driving - or distracted driving while texting. That is so unavoidable, but it still is a large contributor to deaths among young adults in that age range.

Condolences to the Eagle family and the students family and friends. Sad indeed.

According to the story, the accident occurred on Hewitt Street. That's the street the football stadium and basketball arena are on. It happened in the curvy part a mile or a mile and half south of the athletic facilities.
Such a tragic loss. RIP
