Scott, thanks to the United Way and Lutheran Social Services, is now a community hub. That means the school focuses on the whole person — physical, psychological, and spiritual as well as academic.
This is employing part of what I see as a real community approach by government agencies and NGOs with presence on middle school and high school campus complexes which could include a full service library, senior services, day care, police, social services along with health services…a one-stop for students and their families. This would also benefit the service providers by knowing the full customer including his or her name. A real community approach to governing.
