Haven't seen it reported yet, but it's been mentioned that Jonathon Austin has introduced a resolution to officially cut the City of Bham's support to the BBA.
Good for them. It may not hurt the BBA bottom line as much as some would think but politically this would be significant.
Good. F'em.
Watts makes enough….

he can make up the loss.

Yes! Whatever it takes to get the message across. Keep Watts, lose funding...You make the call, BBA!

I reviewed their site looking for who funds the BBA. I gave up for lack of patience.

How can one find out their funding sources? Inquiring minds want to know.
Brian Hilson, the BBA's president & CEO, came out immediately to say that losing football hurts B'ham's reputation. He is on the UAB Athletics advisory board.

The fact that the board of the BBA & John Johns said they support Watts & named him president pro tem tells me that the staff and admin at BBA has about as much power as UAB does in the UA System.

I feel bad for the staff at the BBA, who will ultimately be the only ones hurt by the dropping of funding by B'ham. The board members make too much money to care.

+1, the rank & file will get hurt most rather than the emperors but who then will get the emperor his new clothes & who will he be able to order around when no one is there?
