I have been in Birmingham two days and had no less than a dozen people say Go Blazers to me.

I even got one Roll Blazers.

In all of my days in Birmingham I have never had so many people respond to my wearing blazer gear!
?

Thank you for what!? Needs to be more descriptive than this. The only thing I thank him for is galvanizing us against him and the BOT by making an incredibly rash, destructive decision!
That's thank you for uniting this town, I'd guess. Certainly the UAB community has never been so polarized and united, and Birmingham in general seems to be largely in our corner. That would be how I take it.

That's the only way to take it.
I have not set foot in public wearing UAB gear without someone giving me their low opinion of the decision since it went down.
Same here in Missouri. I frequently spend 10-15 minutes explaining the entire thing to strangers, who just shake their heads.

I wore my UAB hat to St. Joseph the other day, and ate dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings, where the weekly coaches radio show was being broadcast for Missouri Western athletics. I was invited on as an impromptu guest to talk about it. We're famous everywhere now, but I would gladly give it up to be rid of Watts and have football back.
I had strangers buy me beer in Chattanooga and received many Go Blazers! We support you! Free UAB!

JSU had a lot of FreeUAB signs , shirts, and even someone flying a UAB flag in the tailgate area at their playoff game.

This would be my guess, too...#RKORLW
Wearing my UAB gear when I travel resulted in me getting many comments from strangers in Georgia, Florida and TN about how crappy it was for UAB football ( and other sports ) to get hosed like they have.
Been asked about my opinion on this from Texas to Virginia and everywhere in between. It's definitely a national story. Now if only we could actually do something about everyone's distaste for what went down.
I've gotten several comments up here in Charlotte when wearing my UAB gear. Everyone I work with has been talking and asking me about it a lot.

I absolutely agree. I'd rather us continue to play on in relative obscurity than to be known everywhere and most likely unable (unless the status quo changes) to play football again next year!

But the irony is that if the status quo does change, we may not fade back into obscurity. If we do get football back, we may suddenly find ourselves too big for C-USA. The Big XII, who recently annexed WVU, may want us. And that would be when the "powers that be"'s worst nightmare truly begins!

04-cheers I like the way you think, man!
In Jacksonville,Fl myBlazer football t-shirt or baseball cap with the B emblem starts up a conversation .Everyone knows PBJ is a pos and Ray Watts is a tool without me saying it. Thank you Porky Ray and Gargoyle Boy Bryant-hope you get to see the revival and know most everybody hates bullies and stooges.
Thought I was the only one. Crazy how many people in New York and Miami stop me and ask about UAB and what happened.
I'm in Bethesda, MD in the DC Metro area, and I've had at least 2 handfuls of people (10-15) stop me while I'm out wearing my UAB hoodie, and discuss the situation. People are aware, and interestingly, I've yet to hear one person support the decision, though admittedly, I'm sure those that hold that opinion are likely not to engage me.

We cannot let up. We cannot allow this power grab by Watts (and the BoT) to persist. Resolve is our armor, and the University's shared governance policy is our sword. Castrate this bastage with "No Confidence" and leave him isolated in his office surrounded by his guard. Eventually, he will wither away.
Instead of a Christmas flag I am flying my UAB flag here in TN
