Urgent: I have the ability to put an airplane over the Southside today from 12-2 pm with "FIRE RAY WATTS #FREEUAB" on the banner behind it. It costs $2500. I have left a message with Don Hire and Jenny Gauld, and just talked to Scotty McCallum. Right now the only money I have is my credit card. Given the ridiculous nature of this emergency meeting, I'd really like to do this. But I can't if it's just me. If I don't have the money within about, oh, 15 minutes, it won't happen today. It could happen tomorrow morning if I have a commitment of funds in a few hours. But, Watts is going to try to prevent tomorrow's meeting from happening...

Prevent it from happening?

Can he actually do that?

We're up to $1,800 committed in the facebook group. Let's make this happen!

There are probably better uses for your hard earned cash, not to mention the airspace issues above UAB ( emergency helicopters come and go regularly to both UAB and Children's Hospital).

This exactly how I want spend some of my hard earned cash. I would rather my insult be in person, but he is hard to set up an appointment with these days.

It's a go for 7-9 a.m. Tuesday morning during the regularly scheduled faculty senate meeting.
