I am watching ESPN and Shelley Smith is live at the UAB Practice Field. She stated that UAB will not go to bowl.
They still haven't had a couple announced
UAB would have been notified by now. Pretty sure Shelly wouldn't announce it if there was still the slightest of hopes.
Will this make the third time we've been bowl eligible without a bowl?

75% of our eligible seasons without a bowl would almost have to be some kind of record, right?
You mean the Birmingham Bowl wouldn't even chime in? Who did they select, if they have already? I'm only finding bits and pieces on bowl match ups online and nothing about the Bham Bowl.
30 For 30??? You have the makings of another compelling documentary feature right here and now!
New Orleans: ULL vs Nevada
Nova: Marshall vs. NIU
Clark said days ago that they would not be going to a bowl game. I guess everyone is still in the denial process of grief.

Yep! I actually told a friend yesterday to leave me alone and let me dream, we all progress through the grief differently and if I wanted to be in denial a while longer, it was my prerogative.
Has anything been said about the birmingham bowl?

The players said Thursday night that they would go if asked. And the last I heard, coach Clark said the same, that they would go, if asked.
CBS Sports reports that Middle Tennessee is not going to a bowl either despite being eligible.

South Alabama is in the Camilia bowl. They got to a bowl a lot quicker than we did.
Nvm
Marshall to Boca Raton Bowl per the bowl's Facebook page
No, we had 8 teams eligible

Yeah...I just saw that...the independence bowl is only if the ACC or SEC don't fill a spot. And they will.
