Clearly the UAB NAS is not only impotent, but in hiding. Dues paid to this organization only maintains the salary of moochers. It is time for something like the idea of UAB ARS to take back what is ours.

Is there administrative infrastructure with the UAB Football Foundation or other supportive organizations we can use to create a shadow alumni society that will follow UAB's administration and shine a light as the fight continues for the long haul? Community support from business leaders (if not financial, at least in name) that the UAB FF developed over this time would also be very important.
The Alumni Society is pretty toothless. They can't fire Watts and they can't reinstate football.
Even so, the Alumni Society president could have cancelled his trip to Florida and stayed and sent a mean-sounding email. Not one email since the announcement giving an opinion. Utterly incompetent.
Sounds like I picked a great year to not re-up my membership.
You could have the head of the Alumni Society denouncing this on television, or you could have him as invisible as Watts and Mackin were. Which would have been of more value?
The leadership of the UAB NAS doesn't care about UAB athletics, never have. It's a conduit for networking and resume padding. They're in it for what they can get out of it, like Mackin, Ealy, and friends.

How about asking the coaches if this is what they think? I bet they would strongly disagree.
The NAS is a department of the University, what do you expect them to do?

An independent group like this is a great idea, but it's going to be very difficult to get people to join just because you don't have any way to contact them like the NAS does
Where can I sign up?
