Ok. I'm hurt, pissed, disappointed, betrayed and confused as are all of you.

I wish I had the financial resources to hire a powerful "outside" investigative firm to dig up all the dirt on the BOT, Watts, Mackin, etc. It has to be outside so PBJ won't have his bear paw in their pocket "tickling their pickle".

We can't rely on anyone in this state to perform a thorough investigation.
That's a foundation cause I could support.
Most in this state are spineless.

Matt Murphy, Kevin Scarbinsky, Kyle Whitaker, John Archibald are not.
I'll donate quite a bit to that
If you start a fund to hire lawyers or to get a real investigation let me know and I'll happily donate what I can.
I'll contribute. I just got a lot richer now that I won't be sending money to UAB every year. Let's do it.
That's one of the things I don't understand.

Why should we have to fund an independent study?

UAB is so vital to the state, but, while I've seen meager efforts to raise a bill that more than likely won't go anywhere, I haven't seen any public officials push for a similar study or investigation. C-USA or the NCAA can't intervene to find out why one of the largest football markets is abruptly losing its own program? SACS?

Edit: I'll donate towards trying to secure a lawyer, too.
I'll donate.
I'm in.
Surely there is a reporter somewhere that would want to discredit Tuscaloosa. This seems like a sports illustrated cover story!
Is there an angle that lets us get federal law enforcement to look at it? State of Alabama isn't going to do squat.

I guess that's a lawyer question too. Bottom line is that if we have subpoena power, people under non disclosures can be forced to talk, and whatever the BoT has not destroyed or buried can be dragged out of them. They've been unchallenged for many years, sloppiness will leave all sorts of loose ends visible.
I'll donate.

I am hoarse from calling Watts a "F'ing Coward at the top of my lungs. My knuckle is sore from punching the back window of the getaway vehicle, but i still think I can reach my wallet.
I'll happily donate whatever I can to it. Time to start our own foundation as well. If the people hired to be stewards of UAB won't do it then it's time we do. Football, basketball, undergrad they need people who aren't scared to lose their comfy university job or are in the pocket if the bot or pb jr.
This is nothing more than Bear's son helping his daddy get his revenge on Gene Bartow from the grave. That is all there really is to this story. Everything else is a smoke screen.
I am back. I am in.
The Football Foundation should take this on - it would allow a mechanism for accepting donations.

Agreed. I think the UAB Football Foundation will be the best means by which to wage this campaign.

I thought that was you... Thanks for representing. Just sorry I couldn't be there to add my voice to the dismay and disgust.
Public Corruption, Organized Crime, and White Collar Crime all fit.
