Lord knows that I am the ETERNAL optimist (always looking at things half-full), but concerning this pending decision to drop football (I can only hope and pray that a miracle will occur), I will have to make a future decision concerning my Alma Mater.

The decision is ...NOT ONE RED CENT from me! If i were to give, it sounds like the SOM would take it and run with it. Never again from me. I have two boys 14 and 16, we have attended many football games at Legion Field, I will encourage them to attend any shcool of their choosing (but not Alabama). The UA system will not get one red cent from me ever again.

Hit them where it hurts. I encourage you, your friends, family members, businesses associates and businesses to not support any of the U of A Board members companies/firms that they run or work for.
Amen.
I have made my peace. I may attend games, but I am thru with donations. Let the frozen 100 do it
No more donations, and it would be too hard for me to attend another UAB sporting event after this, I love all the UAB sports teams, but the football team was #1 with me, & they're all going to be adversely affected by the execution of the football program. We could also use a list of businesses and products to boycott that sing the crimson praises thru sponsorship(such as Coca Cola, Golden Flake, etc.) here. Blazer Boosters gets my Gold Card back this week along with a letter to their representatives, that will also be shared with Watts, Mackin, The Mayor, Rogers and The Governor...Until UAB can finally and actually govern itself, not one more cent from me. I can't take this anymore...
I'm just a lowly Southern Miss fan, but I'd love to see a list of companies that sponsor Alabama athletics. I will not give them another penny.
My son is 15 and loves UAB as well primarily because he has grown up going to blazer football and basketball games. If this announcement comes through and it seems like it is he will be attending college out of the state of Alabama. I'm done with this.
Yeah my daughter is only 13, but UAB is already being scratched off the list by Watts. Looks like she will be an Aubie unless she gets a big out of state scholly.
Self fulfilling prophecy. It's definitely a catch 22 for us.

Coca Cola and Golden Flake immediately come to mind.
