I wonder where CUSA will look to replace UAB. The Sun Belt would be logical based on geography but they have raided the MAC before...05-stirthepot
Losing Money

We're at just over 11 million.

If we're losing 11 million, then why are we doing it?
There are 10 other MAC schools losing even more. 04-jawdrop
Just like most people, businesses, municipalities, state and federal govts...they are up to thier ears in debt. Not surprised one bit...
Looks like UAB football is no more.

UAB players will probably be immediately eligible to play if they transfer to another school. Others schools will be scouting their roster.

Wonder how their DB's played this year 05-stirthepot
If UAB drops, I hope Toledo gets an invite to the CUSA. I don't even care if they're on par with the MAC, at least we'll play some different teams.

Well, at the very least, we could visit my daughter and son-in-law when the Rockets play at UTEP (they are stationed at Fort Bliss)...

We'd have to increase our athletic budget considerably just for travel. Wonder how many southern schools would want to come to Toledo for a November football game?
None.

I cant see Toledo drawing any noticeable change in crowds for anyone except Marshall. Maybe UTEP or Rice because of the names but otherwise the rest. Who wants to see FIU.

I wonder if CUSA members are happy with their conference leadership.

A November trip to Miami to thaw out before Thanksgiving sounds great!!!!! I remember going to UCF one year. It was great to see 70 degree plus weather the 3rd week of November.
just stay in the mac another 15-20 years and that 70 degree weather will start inching up to ohio
Emotional meeting with UAB team and president.

I really don't think fans come out to see any specific visiting MAC team, except BG. I would be for a change to the CUSA. I think the MAC has a negative stigma attached to it from the national media and I don't see it changing.
