Wow. A 9-3 season and get fired. That's a tough crowd.
Yep. That's what I was thinking. I was expecting to see some announcements about coaches being let go this weekend, but I never would have guessed Pelini would be one of them.
lets try to get him lol
Looks like SMU has its new head coach. He'd been as assistant at Clemson.

Wow---that guy was making $1.3 Million as the OC----That is where Spence went when he left UT---wonder what he was making at Clemson? A lot less than $1.3 Million I would guess. This rapid escalation of salaries and TV contracts in college football has all the ear marks of a bubble that is going to burst at some point---at least for most of the colleges that are desperately trying the impossible task of keep up with the elite dozen or so programs in the country. Most are going to have to face reality at some point just as UAB is doing and either downgrade football or eliminate it all together----this rapid escalation in coaching salaries is totally unsustainable.
Solich did well at Nebraska and got fired.
Word is that Buffalo has hired its new coach. He's been at Division III Wisconsin-Whitewater, where his teams went 106-6 in 8 seasons.

They're still in the Tom Osborne mindset... If they aren't contenders for the NCAA title, to them they've failed. Must be a nice planet to live on.
Who wants to work where the whole toxic culture needs to change? I can't imagine a more up hill struggle in a place where instant winning is expected.

I don't recall anything along those lines.
What's toxic about it?
Kansas & UNLV are also looking for new coaches.
What does everyone think about the "Campbell to Michigan" rumor? I just started it so you may not have had time to ponder the ramifications.

It would cause a ripple effect that might upend the landscape of college football as we know it.

I would be afraid that a few of those hoards of angry UofM alumni mobs armed with torches and pitchforks (notably without their billfolds and checkbooks in tow) storming toward Ann Arbor from all over to "protest" (in the finest sense of the Ferguson, Mo protests) might pause along the way while they are in the neighborhood just long enough to try to burn down the glass bowl (not that much is flammable) just on general principals before continuing to proceed north.
Reports are that Florida has found its coach. Hired the Colorado State head coach.
