Pitt is one of the five win teams. Lead Miami at the half.

Temple has Tulane next week. They've probably got that one.

That ship has sailed
Agreed. That ship sailed when they failed to bring the OCS to the table.
I am hoping for a final four that doesn't include the $EC.

Musberger and Palmer need to wipe their mouths. They've been in their knees the whole game.

Would help if Temple lost, but probably still won't get us in. It would keep the American from being able to fill all their bowl tie-ins, though...so who knows?

When looking at UAB's bowl prospects OUTSIDE of C-USA tie-ins, location is likely a factor, as they gotta pick a game that is relatively close to UAB, and those would come open in the event that SEC teams either miss the mark or go somewhere else.
Kentucky losing to Bobby and the Stache was key, as that kept them at 5-7 and knocked them out of the picture. Meanwhile, Alabama beating Auburn last night almost assuredly earned them a spot in the Championship Tournament, win, lose, or draw against Mizzou. Finally, Mississippi State might have lost to Ole Miss, but I'd say they're still good for somewhere like the Cotton Bowl or the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl, as might be Ole or another SEC team. That would still free up enough slots for either Shreveport or an extra glorified home game put on by BBVA.

We'll see. I'm not at all confident of a bowl berth... but after yesterday, I'm sort of ok with that.
The team deserves to go to one, though.

I realize this is Week 14, but if this actually happens, it would be insanely cool because UAB has a basketball game with the Tar Heels on the same day:
