"If you are not going to put any effort in, you will sit the bench"

Who was he talking about?

Suspect #1
Mehinti had zero points, 1 rebound, and went 0-2

Suspect #2
Baxter did not start the second half despite starting the first half. He was 0-3 with zero points

Suspect #3
Denzell Watts was 0-2 and no points, plus he has an unpopular surname.
Lee?
Watts, ill glady give Calhoun his backup pg minutes as much Cokley/Madison taking Washington/Baxter minutes.
I suspect there was some issue with Lee, either injury or effort related, that happened pregame. Otherwise, I don't see how he gets a goose egg in the minutes department, especially with Mehinti in foul trouble.

Out of those three suspects, I'd say Baxter. Mehinti was just in foul trouble all night and watts seemed to do ok when he was on the court, certainly not way out of whack with what he normally does on the court.
Yeah, I don't think out of those 3 that watts or Mehinti have an issue with effort.

As far as lee goes I'm assuming that was a precaution. I had wondered going into the tournament if we might sit him one game. That game didn't look good from the get go, and getting our star recruit hurt would have been worthless. This is all purely speculation on my part.

If I remember, he took a pretty big spill in the Florida game. I hope he isn't hurt again.
I thought all three showed great energy and effort in the Florida game. I hope they didn't loose heart after that game.
I'm guessing Lee not playing is a precaution. Three games in three days probably isn't smart for someone coming off an injury, and he did awkwardly slip on the floor in the Florida game.

My thoughts, too...
