That lines are supposedly drawn in the figurative sands or is that Sunday?
Yep. Either we advance to the second round , or Wisconsin does.

03-lol

I remember what Jack Kemp said when asked to compare football to politics. "Football is easier. Your opposition is all wearing the same color shirts, and are out in front of you where you can see them."
We might hear something today or it may be Saturday or Sunday. No way to know. In the meantime just keep the pressure on.

And pray.

KEEP FIGHTING
Given their track record they will announce negative news one hour before the game to discourage the team
I think if it's bad news, they'll announce today after lunch. Easy way to post the bad news tgen skip out of town till next Monday
Watts will be the one making any announcement. I'm sure any public announcement will occur after meeting with Makin and Clark
Dr. Watts,

In regards to UAB Football, I ask you to please consider the increased support we've seen this season and imagine what it would be if we won even more games! Under Bill Clark, many people believe we will, and we are excited about it. People are ready to invest in this program and this coach!

I believe the growth of UAB as an institution can he triggered by this program and Coach Clark (see Alabama under Saban). Many people feel this way, so imagine what your legacy will be if you kill it. Instead, your legacy could be that you oversee the greatest days of UAB with a period of growth and prosperity!

Please give UAB Football a chance under Bill Clark! Please announce that UAB Football will be continued and supported.

Thank you!

Fantastic!
I am nervous as hell right now....Read Izell's tweet, he thinks today could be it, too. Wonder how they're going to handle it, press conference-wise? Who gets to be the messenger on this one? Mackin? Watts? Both?
I don't know why anyone thinks something is happening today. Clark reportedly said he wanted an answer today, but obviously they haven't cared what Clark wanted for some time.

Long busy holiday is the perfect time to bury bad news. If we get news today, I expect the worst. If we don't get news today, I feel a little better.

Even if Coach Clark gets an answer today doesn't mean the public will get one.
Given what's happening around the country news wise, they could sneak the announcement out anytime they wish & it'd be lost in all the news which is probably what they want - little national attention as possible
If they try that Tim Brando will be shouting it from the mountaintops Monday.
How is it that the athletic department can get so many things wrong, but we've had nothing in the way of leaks? I mean, other than al.com commenters with "sources". Coaching search info leaks well in advance, you'd think something close to an answer would've leaked by now.
The fight essentially culminated today. Now, we wait for Watts' decision. I expect the result to be public Monday or Tuesday.

Great job to everyone who has pitched in to the fight! I promise it has made a difference. Without the effort, UAB Football would surely be dead. At least now, we have some hope.
Do you like our chances?
