The Men play at #15 VCU tonight at 6:00 pm on ESPNU.

We'll find out a lot about the guys today. VCU beat Tennessee handily on Friday night.
40 minutes of hell. Isn't that what they call it?
I cant wait. Little nervous about this game
Looking forward to checking this game out...saw Oregon put it on Detroit pretty good last night. We definitely have a challenging non conference schedule....should be battle tested come conference play.
Last year Toledo shot lights out vs. Kansas (9/16 from three.) Obviously a lower percentage against their size inside (about 47%.) If we shoot the ball well we will stay in these games!

If VCU is as good as advertised, Toledo doesn't need a win here. IMO we need to play VCU and Duke tough (less than 10 points,) and knock off a decent Oregon team. We cannot have more than 3 losses OOC... And we cannot lose to bottom dwellers in MAC play... especially losses in Ypsi by 20+, or losses to a team like 2013-2014 NIU!!!
Thanks for the espnu heads up!

As they say......"LET 'ER FLY!!!!!!!"
I know we're not supposed to talk about "moral victories", but at this early stage of the season, I'd be pretty happy if we stay within 14 points of VCU tonight. Whereas last season the team started hot (against a mediocre OOC schedule for the most part) and then hit some bumps once MAC play began, I think this time around we'll struggle a bit early but should be an improved team once conference play starts. In particular, I'm hoping that Applewhite is capable of being a positive addition when eligible (at least 10 points/5 rebounds a game), allowing Jon Jon to be the "instant offense" that he was off the bench last season, and that Garber continues o improve in his low post play, so that we can (under the right situations) have both he and Boothe on the floor at the same time--could present some tough match-ups for most in the MAC.

Thanks for making the trip! It's our home opener, but it's rocking every game. Let us know what you think of the atmosphere!

Thanks for representing!! Go Rockets
When will Dre Applewhite be eligible to play? He sat out all of last season so why does he have to sit out even more games this year?
Just received a SportsCenter update on my phone about this game, they added that TOLEDO won the only previous meeting in 2006. Lets keep that streak going tonight.
Dre is eligible as soon as 1st semester is over.
I think the Stroh Center is bigger...
I love jd dunking
I really don't think we could have played the first 10 minutes any better. Nice job so far, Rockets!
We're holding our own...
