From someone named Kaylonsinsanity on Instagram
I was there last Saturday morning with my daughter for UAB Career Day.

I was noticing all the banners in the rafters for all the men's & women's accomplishments.
I saw the FreeUAB sign. We need a dozen of them.
Man, I'm relieved. Saw the title of the thread and feared the worst.

We don't do that sort of thing at the Birmingham campus.

The White Jacket Nazis made them take the sign down originally. If UAB athletics needs to save money, it should start with them. I really see no reason for 3 people guarding entrances to each section. Maybe ones at the very bottom to keep off the court but we have overkill at the games.

Yeah! That's a "Tuscaloosa thing!"...Oh, & poisoning trees, too...
It was up briefly at the UNCP game & I assume it was taken down for the same reason by the same people previously mentioned

Why they make them take the (bleeping) sign down? Because of its' message? I have brought signs to UAB games all the time, especially the occasional #FreeUAB or "BOTSK" sign. Not one time was I "persuaded" to do away with them. That's a damn shame!

Censorship is alive and well at UAB, or so it appears.

After about 15-20 minutes the sign was back up. Nothing was said the 2nd time.

They told us it was blocking an exit sign so it had to be taken down. About 10 minutes later a different employee came up and said we could put the sign back up.

Stop killing the outrage.
Once they figured out last night we would only need one exit, they let them put it back up.
Based on the last two replies, I'd say that "snarky haze" is more than a location.

A certain guy in a black shirt took care of things and said something to the white coach. We asked about it and the black shirt said "the sign is going back up"
