It was between ESPN2 and ESPNU.

So it looks like bgSUCKS @ Akron will be on ESPN2.

Makes sense. That game has divisional implications at hand.
Sucks that their are double MAC games on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and one will always be relegated to ESPNU (which not many people have.)

Why should ESPN even schedule during the week... especially for the UMASS vs. Buffalo type games where attendance would be way higher on the weekends and we damn well know UT vs. BG or UT vs. NIU will be the ESPN higher number game.

UT at Kent on a Tuesday won't have hardly any fans... so why play during the middle of the week for the lack of exposure? I know we don't control it, but ESPN can't be making much $$$ from these types of ESPNU games.
the football season essentially ends for me once the mid week games begin
going is too much of a burden
I think it sucks because if it was on a weekend I would travel to kent. I have family in the area. This espn deal doesn't do fans any favors.
I usually love going up to Eastern. It's easier going up there than the crap hole to the south. But with the game at 8 pm on a Friday can't take the kids, tailgate or do the family thing which I prefer. May end up going with a buddy and freeze my ass off in an empty stadium and get home at 1 am.

It won't be an 8pm game. It'll be either 11am or 1pm. That's what it's been like for the past few years.

Once the MAC agreed to Tue and Wed TV games they almost had to commit the entire league (or at least most of it) to that same sort schedule whether they were on TV or not. Teams need at least 5 or 6 days between games and otherwise there would not be enough bye weeks to allow some to still play conference games on Saturdays. Most (if not all) the Tue/Wed games are now pretty much confined to November.

I thought most all had espn u by now unless they have the most basic of cable packages. Pretty much any that get espn also get the U.

The EMU Calendar shows an !:00PM start for UT/EMU.
Buckeye has a monopoly on the area of Toledo. My apt. complex is buckeye or nothing. The 80$ I pay is for wifi and the normal 70 channel cable that doesn't include ESPNU. I guarantee a lot are in the same boat. My parents have att though so I can access ESPNU on my iPad with their account info. I'm also not a guy flipping through channels to see what's on. I'm going to watch Toledo if it means paying 10$ for IOWA state network lol.

that game at EMU will be at either 11 am or 2 pm

Out here in God's country we get Buckeye or TW. TW has the 2, the U and the Ocho for you dodgeball fans. But basic or the next level up don't get espnu. It's on, like channel 213,764.
