I think Briscoe may be the key to beating Ark. They have a weak secondary. We have to slow down the run on D but it is possible.

Heck, if Briscoe can complete 40% to our guys and not throw picks, that should be good for 28 points alone.

28 points to go along with a superior kicking game and we could make it a slug fest.

Just Win Baby !

If UAB defeats Arkansas, the Bill Clark Nation has officially gone International.
Is Briscoe more mobile than Clements? One thing I have read, on here, is that he has trouble on the short passes.

Briscoe is less mobile. The only problem with Briscoes short passes is that he throws them at 94 mph, the same as he does the 65 yard bomb. And with a receiver 10 yards away, that doesn't allow for a great deal of loft or reaction time.

I've never known a pitcher that didn't have a changeup. 05-stirthepot

I went to H.S. with 2 that I could present as a counter point.
I don't think a 10yd 95mph fastball would be as bad as a 1yd 95mph shuttle pass, a play we've done on the occasion that Clements did rather well for the most part.
Rest Clements and give Briscoe a shot
Well some positives

Big arm

Big targets, deep experience of talent at WR and TE should help the young guy.

A healthy Howard/Vinson combo we should be able to get both 20 carries a piece.

He has a catchable delivery when he gets it there. Watch WR's after a pass you see some things.
