At the very least, the absolute minimum, the post-game threads this year were usually after wins, not losses, but not by much.

Still better than the Negative Two and McGoof years.

Bill Clark is the man for the job, and he gets a 100% pass his first year.
Hey, UAB just lost the game and still has a winning record. When's the last time we could say that?

I'd say the coach, but then I'd get publicly crucified.

When's the last time we could say we had a winning record (prior to this year)?

2004.. when No. 24 UAB was 5-1.
I'm beating the 6-6 horse until I get to Tara!
Pre-season, anyone who said they thought that we'd win six games and be bowl eligible was accused of being a sunshine pumper.

I still think so. So there.
Folks that are really angry I would just ask two questions.

1) How many games this year have embarrassed you as a UAB fan? Personally I would have said the FIU game. But now we see there may be something more to FIU than first meets the eye.

2) How many games last year embarrassed you as a UAB fan? Maybe the better question is what game last year didn't embarrass you?

I'm with you. Of course, I've always said that I think we'll win every game until we don't. But this year I believe it a little bit more.
We lost a tough road game, a game at the beginning of the year we would have counted as an "of course" loss.

Players and coaches are learning, and we could still reasonably over-achieve and make 6-6. Bowl or no-bowl, 6-6 would be huge.

I'm content, and planning on making some road games next year. Hell, maybe I'll get to make a home game.

No, just mocked on a message board.
Any first year coach has a majority of his team left over from the previous coach and his previous record. FBHC Clark brought in many new HS and JUCO players, but he couldn't replace a whole team. He has already surpassed the W-L record of UAB in 2013, and we are hopeful of even better results later in this season. If his second recruiting class does as much for UAB as his first one, we are going to be a force for C-USA to reckon with in 2015. "Tis a consummation devoutly to be wished." For the rest of 2014, remember where we were last year at this time.
We'll be ok. For the first time in our history, we have a staff that seems capable of learning from losses.
"Don't worry, about a thing, cuz UAB football, is gonna be alright"

Actually, I would say the LAST time we were sitting on a winning record was 2005 @ 3-2 (which came after a loss at 3-1)
I don't think many people are angry.
I'm just concerned. Concerned that we are far enough into the season that the TO's are no longer an aberration of a game, but instead a flaw with our team that will continue showing itself through the rest of the season.

I'm also concerned that we are staring a two game losing streak in the face, and with a tough road game the following week, can very easily turn that into a soul crushing 3 game losing streak.

If you haven't learned by now, nothing can crush the soul of this team or staff.
Still sticking with my 6-6 prediction until proven wrong.
