What to watch for

Florida International (1-3) has been outscored 76-12 since taking a 16-0 lead at home over Pittsburgh two weeks ago, losing that game 42-25 and then losing 34-3 at home to Louisville the following outing. The Golden Panthers sit 123rd in total offense at 265.3 yards per game but have also only allowed 302.3 yards per contest.

UAB (2-1) has averaged 41 points per game so far this season, a major upgrade offensively under first-year coach Bill Clark. The competition in the Blazers' wins hasn't been very tough, but they also managed to score 34 against unbeaten Mississippi State on the road.

The Blazers might not have enough bad teams on their schedule to get to six wins, but they'll have little trouble getting their third to start off Conference USA play in strong fashion.

Prediction: UAB 44, Florida International 24
I was thinking we would score 40+ and they would be held to 20 or less. There doesn't have to be enough bad teams as we are much improved and can play with everyone left on our schedule. 4-5 gets us 6 wins.
I'd take 6 wins, but if we want to go to a bowl lets get 7. I don't want to get left out.

Absolutely! I think we can get to 7 wins too, after seeing how lousy North Texas and Louisiana Tech are capable of playing.
If UAB defeats Arkansas, will they be ranked?

Cart, meet horse. 03-thumbsup

I'm just hoping for a W this weekend before I worry about how many injuries will be incurred in our next money game.

Arkansas will probably have 4 losses by the time UAB plays them.

No doubt. They have a BRUTAL stretch: Texas A&M, UA and UGA in a row. With that said, they are a much improved team from a year ago.

At 7-1, it would be possible, but only if none of those are close calls. At this point, I really hope to be 3-1

Their run game will give some teams fits. If UAB can stop the run against Arkansas they will turn some heads. Still a long time from now though. UAB could also, realistically, have 4 losses before that matchup.
or wins
or we could have a game tomorrow that we should focus on.

Which will drastically affect the outcome

I feel like 2 of them are wins for sure (FIU & MTSU) and I think we can win all 4, but I will remain cautiously optimistic until I see it happen.
Please forgive my ignorance but ive never understood why fans...who neither coach nor play...should focus on one game at a time. Can someone explain it to me. And please write slowly so i can keep up.
It begins with the pronoun "we". I put on a particular shirt this morning. It's green and says UAB on it. Now, like most of you, I mean, us, I've got several of those, but I chose this one because we're 2-0 at home in it.
