I really think there are only a few minor adjustments that can be made to get our pass defense more efficient. Primarily when and how we blitz. We don't disguise it very well and still don't bring the safeties up fast enough to cover the receivers on the corner blitz. We still are not getting to the QB fast enough - so we are leaving that play open for a big gainer if the safeties come up too fast and the QB can read that.

As for the 3 man front - hate it!!!.
We aren't coming up with any turnovers this season.

That is gonna bite us in the rear if it continues.
Toledo is #11 in offensive yards, yet #35 in scoring. As seen in the game vs Cinci -- where their yards were close to even, but the score was Not. Toledo's not making use of what they COULD score.

Toledo's D obviously needs work. They're decent against the Run -- actually quite good if said team relies on it and isn't a passing program. But other than that, they need to shore things up. NIU's balanced, and Toledo will need to fix that and turn their yards into points if they want to win @NIU.

Toledo is #23 in offense "efficiency" by ESPN (13.41), but #125 in defense "efficiency" (-19.71)
Quote:The team efficiencies are the point contributions of each unit to the team's schedule-adjusted scoring margin, on a per-game basis. For example, a value of +8 for the defense would mean that the defense adds 8 points per game towards that margin through all its contributions while on the field (preventing points, ending drives, forcing turnovers, etc.). Efficiencies update daily.

By comparison in efficiencies:

NIU is #36 in offense (10.24), #82 in defense (-4.74)
CMU is #116 in offense (-11.57), #77 in defense (-3.45)
BSU is #111 in offense (-7.42), #93 in defense (-6.35)
WMU is #48 in offense (8.46), #104 in defense (-10.91)
