Disappointing Home Out of Conference slate, but I probably won't complain about it this year. Still no reason at all to be playing teams like Young Harris.
Last year was disappointing. This year is much better. Lsu, usf, Illinois state,, and more head state are all okay games. I wish we could get the non d1s off the schedule altogether, but it is what it is I guess.

As long as the NCAA allows one non-DI game to count towards post-season eligibilty there will likely always be one such game included.

I didn't see USF on there when I saw it. That improves it.
Yeah the last place team in the American really adds something special.

New head coach who has coached against UAB many times as part of Calipari's staff...

Guess I should have used blue font, too.

I agree with Mitch about Young Harris but the IOC slate is very similar to last years except for our OOC tourney which drastically changes things. I'm also pumped about continuing rivalry with MTSU and rekindling rivalry with WKU.

Since we have a boat load of smart asses with short term memory problems, here's a reminder: 197, 288, 12, 49, 177, 289, 25, 219, 309, 252, 78, 275

We currently have 5 teams that were over 150 last year. Last season we had 8. It isn't wonderful, but it is better. You can even throw the tournaments out, and it's still the case. We are likely going to have 5 games ooc in the top 100, with a few others who could get there. Yes, the ooc schedule isn't great, but the home slate isn't UNC and a bunch of nobodies this year. We have several decent games, and whether we are happy with it or not, it is an improvement from last year.
It's definitely an improvement. Several games on there that could be used as "resume builders," if were even in the hunt for that this year. Hopefully we can improve it even more next year.
Hopefully so. This is not the year where we needed 8 top 100 teams ooc. We are going to be young, and a difficult schedule, with or without chad would have been tough for us to overcome. It actually sucks that this is the year we get into one of the biggest tournaments we've ever been in. The good news is Haase has been able to get some decent teams on the schedule. Hopefully as he continues to grow he will develop relationships that lead to more series that get us good games at home.

Woah, woah, woah.

Fans aren't the ones that set the expectation for a strong schedule. Haase did.
It sucks that we have the Atlantis tourney so early in the year with such a young team, but at least we have 4 winnable games at home building up to the tourney. Hopefully we can win all of those games and go into the tournament with some momentum. Ill be watching and hoping for a miracle, but realistically, I'll be ecstatic if we win one game there..

Overall this is a strong schedule for us. It's certainly better than last year.
17-13 in D1 play, 11-7 in CUSA.
