Hustle Belt is doing their MAC player countdown again this year. They are up to #21 who happens to be Kareem Hunt. Several Rockets listed thus far:

21: Kareem Hunt
22: Treyvon Hester
25: Jeremiah Detmer
40: Jeff Myers

I suspect we will see 3 more Rockets in the top 20.
In a related story, Junior Sylvestre gets some love from SI in a story on the best draft prospects from "smaller" conferences.

I find it hilarious that they lumped in Notre Dame in the "smaller" conference story ... probably because ND considers itself to be its own conference.
I'm still expecting (in no particular order) Mancz, Russell, & Sylvestre.

Anyone else???
Good to see Kareem get some love after his freshman season. He was a hard worker.

I agree, Terry, with the 3 players you mentioned that are left. I can't think of anyone else.
I believe that murdock and voss are very good... Maybe not top 50 before this season though.

Sylvestre had 118 tackles in 12 games. Murdock had 109 in 11 games.
One thing is for sure, put linebackers are beasts. All three of them

He is over-shadowed by Junior, although I do think Murdock is ultra talented. Because there are so few spots left in the countdown I doubt he is in the top 20. It's possible...

Our LB's are beasts and honestly so is our DL. I'm dumbfounded how many yards we give up given our actual talent level.

It's gotta be our DBs. They give up so many TDs. Maybe coaching also? I'm right with ya though.
Been a while since we've had a real burner free safety, too.

Look for Utah State's senior quarterback Chuckie Keeton to have a stellar year.
Mancz in at #6 http://www.hustlebelt.com/2014/8/19/6031...o-football (I kinda expected him to be higher)

Junior still left to appear.
Very impressive!

Was anyone "stunned"?
What a joke.

IIRC, he wasn't even the starter for the first game of the season, so I would say stunned is a fair choice of words. I was certainly stunned by his performance against NIU.

I was stunned by NIU's lack of performance.

He had gaudy numbers. I hope he continues in the bg qb tradition of record-breaking Sophomore seasons.
