I'll start...

JR, I don't know how long you've been going to games. Sorry if this brings back bad memories...but genius move on the groundskeepers part.

My mother in law and young daughter were in the president's box when this occurred. What most people do not know is that Stadium Security called the President before turning on the sprinklers, not hoses, (although they look like hoses because of the distance they cover) because a Georgia cheerleader (female) was struck in the eye by a beer bottle tossed from the Georgia student section. With nobody but security knowing who tossed the bottle at the time (they saw it) it was determined that it was time to call it a night and break up the on field demonstration before anyone else was hurt. The year before in Athens a UGA alum (an elderly man) had been seriously injured when another UGA fan had tossed a half gallon whiskey bottle off the upper deck. Those are the kinds of things those in charge know but are seldom reported to the masses. And please note this isn't an attempt to paint Georgia fans in a bad light as we have had our share of Auburn idiots doing similar things. But it is the truth behind the incident. I was at the game (with a UGA alum) and didn't know why it happened until I got back to my in-laws home following the game. By the way I had been going to Auburn games long before that happened.
Wow that is an interesting background. Powerful sprinklers....you'd swear they could put out a fire.
