Saw on Facebook that the Jambulance has been sold??? Can anyone
corroborate this sad story??
Someone (a very reliable person) told me that indeed it has been sold. The person indicated that it was sold to a Rocket fan.
Yep, it will be handed over on Monday.

Won't disclose to whom it was sold, but they are loyal Rocket's fans.

Spent the last three days getting it all cleaned up.

After 8 years of fun Chris and I are ready to move on.

Thanks to all who shared in the adventure!!!
RR thanks for all the trips you took me on in the Jambulance. Gonna miss being part of its road crew!

Thanks for the memories Pat!!!!
Thanks for your support of the University and community.
Some of my best Rocket memories were made in and around the Jambulance. Met some fine people and fans, road tripped to some cool places and saw quite a few Rocket victories. Thanks for including me over the years Pat. It's been a privilege. Hopefully the new owner can uphold the high standards you set for the Jambulance and crew in representing the Rocket fan base.
Same book, new chapter but we lost the lead character. I'll leave that as a straight line for someone else. The Jambulance put UT on the national tailgate map. Thanks, Pat.
Thank You....for all of your love for the Midnight Blue and Gold
Thanks to you, Pat, Chris, and your Mom for making us all welcome at the Jambulance gatherings.
Kind of sad to see yet another Lot 10 landmark pass into history, especially one that has become a legend. But alas, all good things must come to an end.

However, we all owe Pat an enormous debt of gratitude:

Thanks for having the imagination to visualize what could be.

Thanks for having the ambition to make the vision a reality

Thanks for creating the reality with such class in every detail

Thanks for having the generosity to share your creation with the Rocket community.

In closing, best wishes to you, Chris and your entire family as you move toward a well deserved retirement.
I too am grateful for all the good times and for the fantastic representation you you provided for our university. Best of luck and hope to see you at the game!

Won't it likely still be there for games since the new owners are rocket fans?

Probably, but I doubt that it will be the same environment----of course I could be wrong. I have no idea as to who the new owner is, so who knows?
The new owners (as of 12:00 noon today) tailgate in Lot 10 so I'm sure that the Jambulance will continue to be a very visible part of the UT tailgating scene.

They are very excited to be the new owners of the Jambulance and Chris and I are very happy that they are the ones that will carry on the tradition.

Thanks for all of the kind words, it was a fun 8 years of road trips, tailgating, and representing the UT Rockets from a fan's perspective.

We hope that the "RV" that we plan to purchase in the next 2-3 years will also be unique in it's own right, and fit right in with the spirit of the Jambulance. At least that's the plan...

RR
We actually looked at this actual "RV" a couple of weeks ago.

In the infamous words of Douglas MacArthur, "I shall return"...

Lots of space for graphics.

Ranger, do the new owners assume ownership and responsibility of the Jambulance website too?

No, I'll be shutting it down at some point.
RR are you responsible for the Turret and cannon for the new RV?
