ND is only "mostly" ACC. Big difference between "mostly ACC" and "totally ACC"!

Pitt's budgeting for this year estimated a $9.7 million increase in revenue for 2013-14 mostly due to increased revenue from the ACC over the prior year. However, revenues were down >$2 million for 2012-13 compared to 2011-12. That is unspecified but could be partly due to the Big East withholding exit fees from its disbursement.

I wouldn't say those budget reports are apples to oranges to what is reported by USAToday or DOE numbers listed above though.

This clearly shows which teams belong in the P5, and which do not! I know I am starting a firestorm but Wake Forest should be re placed by Connecticut in the ACC. 07-coffee3

Wake Forest belongs in the ACC before L'Ville.

I don't quite understand why Pitt was not listed in the USA Today report. Is it considered private, even though it receives funding from the state? I'm also surprised that it has such a small budget - one of the lowest in the ACC.

I figure that the difference between the ACC tv payout and what Pitt earned in tv revenue should be about $12-15 million. That should put Pitt in the upper mid-tier Acc AD revenue.
$12-15 million would put Louisville equal to or ahead of Notre Dame. 07-coffee3

You can't compare the accounting at one school to another, or one list to another (DOE vs USAToday). There is no standard accounting between schools or reports.
Wake sucks. I'd gladly trade them for Temple. Getting UConn for Wake would be a godsend.

I don't know about that. Wake sucks right now, but they haven't always been that way. Less than 10 years ago they won the ACC and beat FSU three years in a row in football. The basketball team has been ranked #1 as recently as 2009.

Maybe with the recent coaching changes things will turn around for them.
Those are real nice sentiments toward a school that invited your schools to join its conference.

Neither Temple nor UConn would prove in the end to be much of an improvement in value over Wake.

Disagree, I think both Cincinnati and UConn would be significant improvements over Wake, however, Temple not so much! 07-coffee3

Wilkie...Wake is a Charter member...has won ACC Basketball and Football Titles in the Past 15 years and is a Academic Powerhouse...Louisville has yet to even join the league and you're advocating Cincinnati and or UConn to replace them....really...03-banghead....07-coffee3

It's OK Maize, everybody wants to advocate us over WVU in the Big 12 and wants to talk about how much better we are than Maryland. WF is used to this treatment. They seem to relish in it. They refuse to change no matter the criticism. I'm learning to respect that.
