UAB and South Florida will begin a home and home series next season in Birmingham, source told @CBSSports. Return game in 15-16 in Tampa.
The sport being what?
Not a bad series. They are a big conference team that we should have a very good chance of beating.

Basketball...
South Florida right now probably would have a higher RPI than some other school that Scarbinsky would like us to play, no matter what it takes.

EDIT: Turns out I was full of crap. RPI 230 towards the end of the season.

At least it is a home & home series though.

...that starts in Birmingham.

Most years you would be right, but last year was the one that got Stan Heath (and our old friend Donnie Marsh) fired. Just two years prior, USF finished with an RPI of 39 and won its first two tourney games ever. I'd imagine most years they will be 75-150.

Good, winnable series, especially with Antigua making his coaching debut next year. Although, I admit I know nothing about their team and who they return.
And we maybe see Jaleel Cousins.
This should be a good home and home series for us.
We've played many a game against the Bulls.
We have played South Florida 57 times, more than any other school in our history. Up until a couple of years, we had played them every year since the beginning. We are 37-20 against them.
Yep, & if I recall correctly we have played more games against them than any other team we have played.

That would include Memphis, South Alabama, Charlotte, etc.

( MB verified it above)
Would like to see USA home and home each season. Fun road trip.
Most games against opponents

1. USF 57
2. Memphis 46
3. South Alabama 44
4. Southern Miss 42
4. Charlotte 42
I'm all for this. Play as many teams in the top 10-12 conferences as possible. If this is true we have:

Atlantis
@UNC
@Chattanooga
USF
LSU

Am I missing anything?(@Troy maybe)
Home:
vs. LSU
vs South Florida

Away:
@ UNC
@ Troy
@ Chattanooga
@ Battle 4 Atlantis
This is just like Rutgers last year. We're playing a power conference team that if we win, we we're suppose to. It we lose, it could be a big blemish on our resume come March. A very bleh schedule spot.
Probably a matter of us wanting to get good exposure in Florida for recruiting. I know we already play FIU and FAU but playing another Florida school from a decent conference gets us more exposure.
lets hope we can get some MVC schools on the schedule....I bet we see a more regional approach to scheduling as well.
