What a shock!!!!!

The MAC has found another way to screw Toledo again.....This time it's basketball television money, or lack of it. 03-puke
Seems like playing the required number of home games should be solvable.
What has and will screw UT is the inability to bring in multiple Top Mid-Major programs and Upper echelon teams into UT for homes games. To fill the Home game quote with lower D1 and DII teams will affect revenue as fans so far don't seem excited in December to support these games. Road games against better competition bring exposure and revenue. Praire A&M not so much
Remember the Rockets were penalized 3 games two years ago under the APR penalties, and decided to uphold it's away game contracts and cut the number of home games to 12.

Toledo could load the home schedule with Urbana, Defiance, etc..... like bg does....................05-nono
I have major disdain for the commish. He obviously has a vendetta against Toledo. He must have forgotten that Toledo had to give up 3 home games due to the APR. Just another way to screw the Rockets, just like he did for the bowl game.
Things go in cycles and in both football and basketball, there are times when one division is dominant over the other. It wasn't fair when the East had so much better teams than the West so they eliminated the format that gave equal byes and replaced it with the current format. The West has caught up this past year and held the top two positions and now this system is unfair? Here's the simple solution to give the commish what he apparently wants: Akron and Kent are automatically seeded 1 and 2 and alternate every other year. Seed the next 6 teams 2-8. Thursday game 1 Akron v. 8 Game 2 Kent v. 7 Game 3 Akron v. 6 Game 4 Kent v. 5 Friday Game 5 Akron v. 4 Game 6 Kent v. 3 Saturday Championship Akron v. Kent. It doesn't get any simpler.
Another reason to get out of this crap Conference.
