Blazers alone in second place in CUSA!

Last two series against Tulane (11th place) and FAU (9th place)...we had a lot of bad breaks in our series vs Rice. Had we not gotten swept, we would have had a decent chance of winning the regular season championship.

They are having a very nice season.

That they are. The series against UT-Martin and Youngstown State (291 and 291 in RPI released 4/28, respectively) are really hurting our chances for at at-large bid.

Those two blown 9th inning leads against USM still turn my stomach.

True enough but going three games, on the road, with no errors? Baby steps USAFF...baby steps.

Also, I agree with BB above. Painfully, I witnessed one of the meltdowns against USM. Yuck!

Three unlucky stretches of games against good/great competition have cost this team a spot in the top 25. @Hawaii, @Rice & against USM.

If 2nd place in C*USA and a solid conference tournament run can't get us in the NCAA tournament as an at-large, then woe is me what good is there being in this conference?

Is there such a thing as a solid run in the baseball tournament? I know it used to be two group of 4 with the winners playing the final. Did the conference change the format when we added more teams? We should have mainly winnable games the rest of the way, I think there is still a shot at an at large if we just keep winning.

Our OOC SOS probably doesn't warrant an at large selection.

Exactly, even though we may be second in the confrence ODU,FIU, and USM are ahead of us to get a tournament bid. If we win the rest of our regular season games we'll still be outside the bubble come conference tournament time.
