6'8 Oak Hill Rokus Gustys Will be visiting UAB April 10-12

Late signing period starts that following Wed, April 16th. Who's our new Cheesecake Factory host (at least once Rob leaves)?
I vote for Tyler.
I thought we signed Rob on as a contractor for all our Cheesecake needs?
I think we should have a decent shot with him. He visited IU, according to 247, but they haven't offered. All the other schools that have offered aren't very intimidating.
We've been in on him forever. He has great size for a freshmen, and would be a great addition, but that would add one more young guy to an already large freshmen class. At this point, with all the names circulating around, I'm really not even sure who Haase would take if he had his choice of the players.
I think a juco player or 5th year player would be ideal to round out this class.

7 players in one class is A LOT. However, I do like what I see from this guy, and I certainly wouldn't be mad if we signed him.

6?
6+ the VT transfer that has already sat out. some people add him to this recruiting class class rather than that One.

Or it could have been a typo. 7 newcomers is a lot but I don't see another way around that.
Shrug. Juco for age and to break the schollys up a bit, or another freshman with a lot of potential. I'm good with either one.

I find I trust Haase's recruiting a lot more than I did Davis'.
He provides us with what we don't have right now - bulk down low. Said to be a tough, physical low post player...
Let's say the 7 best players available to us are all Freshmen. What are the chances all 7 stay? If needed, couldn't we offer a player not getting much playing time a year or two from now the opportunity to transfer without losing a year? If they're all very good then we have an exemplary team 2 to 3 years from now.

Auburn (Barbee era), ODU, Rutgers, Charlotte, UGA, and URI have offered... he's listed as 6'9" 240lbs on a couple other sites which seems legit... the kid was big as a junior (there's a pic of him with Cam Newton in an airport on Twitter & he's got Cam (6'5") by several inches).

Get this kid into our weight program (Rokas is already strong & solid for his age) and he could be a beast by his soph or junior year... he's a weightroom junkie.
You take the best players you can get.
For sure, but if one is a transfer who was a former McDonald's AA, and one is a freshmen who could be a beast, who do you take? Haase is looking at a lot of guys, so i'm lost on what he actually wants at this point. I trust his judgement for sure though.

Both of which attended Oak Hill Academy if I am not mistaken. Would be nice if we could get both, but we obviously don't have the scholarships available at this point.

Well,...
Make room. Bye riddeau, take lewis if it's possible. Add gustys or gueye.
Got to have another big man regardless. Right now even with norton, we know he can shoot. Yet we are still questionable at pg as far as a ball handler and a passer is concerned.

In today's transfer-happy world of collegiate basketball, who you have as freshmen may not be who you have two years later. I would trust the staff to bring in whoever they feel they can win with right away and let the rest of the issue work out according to fate. I want the best players now for the best team we can have now. There is plenty of time to worry about later seasons later.
That worked out well under Mike Davis.
