D'Antoni is the head of Marshall's capital campaign along with Chad Pennington. Marshall can pay him the million and then some if needed. Mike Hamrick has been smoothing over relationships with prominent boosters Jim Justice & Chris Cline. Both of these guys have deeper pockets than T. Boone Pickens at Oklahoma State from what I have read on the Marshall Boards. On top of all of this I've read that Jim Justice is one of his best friends. There is no doubt that this hire would bring unrivaled attention to the Marshall program but I don't know how it'd work out. I believe this is AD Mike Hamrick's way of selling tickets after this last season's horrible performance.
