On ESPN2. Missou down by 13.
Missouri wins 85-77.
I was hoping for a road trip to Boone, North Carolina on Monday.
I woulda liked that as well, but as far as teams id rather play, Im glad Missouri pulled it out. Davidson is a penetrate the interior, and dish it out torching you with 3s kind of offense. I think it said they average over 9 three pointers a game

If you can stop a 3 point shooting team from draining 3s on you all day, you've got a good chance.

But I hope we can just get by Southern Miss. I'm really not sure what Toledo team will show up tonight. I hope the pissed-off, ready to dominate team shows up.
Call me nany naysayer, but the team looked tired and befuddled last weekend and now that the tourney championship is gone and the NCAA birth is gone, this team is done for this year. Of course I want them to win, but I'm just not feeling like they have much wind left in their sails. I will be plesantly suprised to come home with a win.

Fans from every NIT team say this about their teams every year. I bet even the team that wins the NIT, their fans started out by saying "our team doesn't care, they're not in the NCAA."

Probably. But that team most likely was truly snubbed and should have been in the NCAA. It is what it is though.

Southern Miss feels the same way--believe it. Whichever team really wants to keep playing some basketball will win. Somebody is going to win the NIT...why not Toledo? It's a new season. I liked how we played the first 10 games. Let's bookend the season with some play like that.

Then I guess it is a good thing Mizzou won because if you had shown up in Boone looking for Davidson you would have only been able to find Appalachian State

Davidson is actually near Charlotte in the small town of Davidson. It is a small highly regarded liberal arts school. Woodrow Wilson started college at Davidson and spent a year there before transferring to Princeton.

Lefty Driesell was the coach there during the 1960s and built them up into a powerhouse (they got to the Final Eight in the NCAAs two years) before he moved on to Maryland. Virgina's Terry Holland was one of Driesell's players at Davidson.

An honest mistake and no big deal, it was just that I kind of followed Davidson along with the ACC back in those days and so I felt compelled to spout off about them. The way it turned out, I guess you wouldn't have been showing up to watch Southern Miss play them anyway.03-banghead
