Harrison accompanied the players to UAB's Junior Day.

"I'm a little biased, because I've known these coaches a long time," Harrison said. "I knew Mike Bennefield when he was coaching right here at Slocomb. Jody Wright and me used to work at camps and he's been a friend for a long time. I knew Daric Riley when he was a (graduate assistant) at Clemson and Chuck Dunn coached me at Troy.

"They're great people and great coaches. They're really trying to hone in on in-state kids, kids in their backyard, and it looks like they're giving Coach (Bill) Clark a commitment to really try to turn UAB into a football school."
