Here's what I've come up with as the current standings and where we'd be if the tournament started today:

I'll do my best to organize the top 4 accounting for tie breakers.

Standings:
1. La Tech 12-3 (Beat Tulsa and MT)
2. Tulsa 12-3 (Beat SoMiss, MT)
3. MT 12-3 (Beat Tulsa and SoMiss)
4. USM 12-3 (Beat La Tech)
5. UTEP 11-4
6. ODU 8-7
7. Tulane 8-7
8. UAB 7-8
9. Charlotte 6-9 (Beat UNT)
10. UNT 6-9
11. FAU 5-10 (Beat ECU)
12. ECU 5-10
13. UTSA 4-11 (Beat Marshall)
14. Marshall 4-11
15. Rice 2-13

1st round
10 North Texas vs. 15 Rice
11 FAU vs. 14 Marshall
12-ECU vs. 13 UTSA

2nd round
5 UTEP vs. UTSA-ECU winner
6 ODU vs. FAU-Marshall winner
7 Tulane vs. North Texas-Rice winner
8 UAB vs. 9 Charlotte

Qtr Finals
1 La Tech vs. UAB-Charlotte winner
2 Tulsa vs. Tulane, North Texas, or Rice
3 MT vs. ODU, FAU, or Marshall
4 USM vs. UTEP, UTSA or ECU

I'm too lazy to go beyond this.

Some observations...as we sit today, the #1 seed would have a brutal 8/9 match up against 2 very capable teams, UAB and Charlotte. Seeds 8-12 have the ability to upset a lot of the higher seeds. This tournament could prove to be bananas. I believe we can fall no further than 10th and move up no higher than 7th. Someone correct me if I'm wrong on that.
There is still at least one scenario where UAB grabs 6th seed thanks to the win at Tulsa:

IF Southern Miss, Tulsa and Louisiana Tech all end up tied for the Regular Season title (MTSU would obviously drop out in this scenario with a loss to the Blazers) and UAB ends up tied with both Tulane and Old Dominion, UAB would be seeded 6th.

UAB, Old Dominion, Tulane - all have 1-1 head to head records

vs. Southern Miss, Tulsa, La Tech - UAB 1-2, Old Dominion 0-3, Tulane 0-4

I follow you. On Thursday we want LaTech, SoMiss, and Tulsa to win and ODU and Tulane to lose. That would put us in 6th, correct?
I dont think we can hang with LaTech in the tournament. But, I think we could beat any of the other top 4 teams. 6th or 7th seed would be a great opportunity if we could get it, assuming that LaTech winds up as #1.

La Tech, Tulsa, and Southern Miss should be shoe-ins to win Thursday given they beat their opponents they're playing by 30+ points earlier this year.

The ECU vs ODU game is a toss up. ODU beat them at home earlier this year but ECU is hot right now. I'll certainly be a Pirate that night.

If we win and these 4 games pan out we'l grab the 6th seed.
Not that hot. They just lost to Marshall.

CUSA teams are so unreliable and inconsistent that no team is a shoo-in over any other team. The good ones are not good enough to overcome bad games, so they can lose to anyone.
What we need to have the best shot at a 6th seed...

La Tech beat Rice
Tulsa beat UNT
So Miss beat Tulane
MT lose to UAB
ECU beat ODU

If this scenario happens, the conference would look like this:

1. La Tech.
2. Tulsa
3. So Miss
4. UTEP
5. MT
6. UAB
7. ODU
8. Tulane

9-15 is really fluid so I'm not sure how it will pan out in this scenario.
This conference has been all over the place...to the extent that I think the seeds are irrelevant (other than the benefit of playing less games).
Might as well put the names in a hat and draw them out (of course I'm being a little facetious, but not completely)
I don't want to play UTEP at home and I don't want to play USM again since they are a good team and we destroyed them. They would be gunning for us. Otherwise, bring any of them on.
Agree with MB.

I do want another shot at any of the teams we lost to. I think if we play well we can beat any tem in this league. We can also lose to any of them. It's a better league that thought to be but still no world beaters and we have not played up to our capabilities.

Agreed. Those would definitely be the two teams I would most like to avoid

Over the years, we've fared badly against teams we've swept, swept us, and beat once badly during the year. (See: Memphis, ECU, UCF)
I'd view it as progress if Haase could at least reach the semis this year. Winning two games in a tournament AND reaching the semis? That hasn't been done in nearly a decade!
Also, as I noted in the other thread (on second review, this is a more appropriate place to leave this):

6th is still attainable with a UAB win AND an ODU loss (at home vs ECU) AND a Tulane loss (at home vs USM).

A Charlotte loss at Marshall OR a North Texas loss to Tulsa in the Super Pit OR a USM win on the road at Tulane would clinch a first round bye for the Blazers, win or lose.

Should UAB, Charlotte and North Texas all finish 7-9, it would come down to performance vs whoever gets 1st. In that scenario:

-UAB's best win would be USM (with Tulsa next--obviously assuming Tulsa loses to UNT to finish 12-4).
-North Texas' best win would then be Tulsa
-Charlotte's best win would be UTEP/Tulsa
About time you woke up, FN. I don't do well with numbers and thinking.

UAB is 2-1 against the top 3, right ?
Based on what the team looked like Sunday, if we make it to the semis, Haase deserves coach of the year honors. Especially if the injuries are serious.
