You should get your wish depending on where you are in North Carolina (or elsewhere in the region). The morning forecast I watched showed more snow to the east with 6 plus inches along the coastal counties. We shall see.....
All will be well with time!!!
It's snowing for certain in Birmingham. I think there's even snow in Mobile. In my part of Baldwin County, we're getting freezing rain. It's a little underwhelming, but it could be worse.

We've got a little over an inch here in Knoxville, and it's still coming down.
I'm stuck at work in Sandy Springs. I work right off Glenridge and we can't get out of the lot. At least we have beer in the fridge.

One of my friends from high school spent 6.5 hours on 280 today. He's probably in that photograph.
2:00 - 11:00 commute home.

Roads weren't moving and people weren't letting others merge. I only found this to be a problem on the surface street. Once you got away from your office and realized how screwed EVERYONE was, you just went with it.
Most of the snow that fell yesterday has melted - on the roads, at least. There are patches of ground that have melted, where they were sitting in sunlight all day.

The wooly bears were right. It's officially been a hard winter in the south. Snow has been on the ground for over 24 hours.

Saturday is gonna get up to 70 here. There's a saying about the weather here: "If you don't like the weather, stick around; it'll change soon."
