Just wanted to remind folks that you can get a 15.00/month subscription through CUSA's all access site to watch conference games. @ FIU and FAU appear to be the only games that won't have a video stream provided through all-access. I imagine the Russian pirate's feed on First Row will have one.
Has All Access *ever* worked? All I ever see year after year is posts here griping about it not being on, or the sound being ten seconds out of synch, etc.

Not to rain on your parade, but that's the history.

I haven't had any issues with All Access as of last season. The syncing issue is in regards to trying to listen to 107.7 while watching.
most of the time all access doesn't work
All access video for basketball this season has been horrible. The student run broadcast from Northeastern put it to shame.
I say again: All I have ever heard here for years sounds just like this. I have not had it so I can't speak from personal knowledge.

I can't vouch for OUR stream given that I've been to all of our home guys and haven't watched it. I can say that other schools seem to do a really good job with theirs. Like I said earlier, AA is pretty much the only option other than First Row Sports.
There's always David Crane, unless the anniversary of Whitney Houston's death falls on game day.
I was about to say that David Crane emits soothing sounds on the radio.

Wrong. The syncing issue is because someone at UAB tries to use the radio feed for the audio and it doesn't sync. Never. It's not the listener trying to do it. Maybe they fixed it, but I still hear complaints.

I had all access for a couple of years and gave up. Most of the road games it works fine, but really sucks for home games.

Overall it is a waste of money. Crane paints a great picture and I prefer the audio version to the all access crap

I've got season tix but a lot of kid sports obligations. I usually catch the 2nd half or the end of some games on AA. The road streams are usually pretty good but the UAB produced stream is atrocious. Video quality for soccer and football were much better.

I'll continue to use it for road games. I love crane but I like to be able to watch the game even more.
I had all-access for years, thinking "it has to be better this year."
It never was. It's not just the A/V sync issue. It's pretty common that the video freezes, or doesn't work at all.
Of course, I'm really just speaking if the home games...every other school seems to have their crap together

And don't forget when the fan in front of the camera stands up and you get his back during very exciting plays.

All access at UAB is the most embarrassing thing the school has ever done.

Yeah, forgot about that...
And I agree about the embarrassment

David Crane has been a very good successor to the legend of Gary Sanders.

I only wish that David would speak up enough for the officials to hear him! 03-lmfao
I'll watch a sign language interpreter as long as we start winning.
I guess it just depends on one's perspective. This is truly one of those situations in which "something is better than nothing." Most of us will drop 15 bucks on a single meal (which will be in the sewer the next day) without thinking twice about it, but we fret over paying the same amount for a month's worth of basketball viewing.

No...I wouldn't fret over it at all...in fact, I did for years. What I will not do any more is to pay the money and then not get what I paid for. I can't begin to count how many games I paid for and couldn't see.
If you pay for a meal and they only bring you some fries, you don't say "ahh, better than nothing." They darn sure better bring what you paid for, or you'll be pissed.

What makes it worse is that it's not an All-Access problem...it's a UAB problem
In this case nothing is better than poorly produced crap.
