Mentions UAB in the last paragraph with a McGee response. Only one I have heard from the guy..
"Based on what I know as a head coach, I understand this is what a head coach needs on a daily basis," McGee said.

"It was a blessing for me to have that opportunity (at UAB). I think I'm in position now to be one of the top assistants in the country because of my experience as a head coach."

The ego, it burns!
To summarize, "I sucked the soul from another program to increase my power as the demigod of coaching I was preordained to be."

Of course, I could be totally off-base with this translation, as I am still waiting for Rosetta Stone to mail my copy of Coachspeakinese.
Chizik went 5-19 at Iowa State, then won a National Championsip at AU........McGee goes 5-19 at UAB, but I doubt there is a National Championship in his future.
If Petrino lets McGee coach his quarterbacks like he coached ours, well...

If that happens, he might eventually get them to 5-19.

He'll recruit 15 QBs, run off 10, lose confidence in 4, and get 1 permanently injured... that's my guess at his first 3 years at UL.
They both did well at Arkansas. Maybe the whole is better than the parts.

I suspect you are right.
Well he is starting from scratch w/ qb's since Bridgewater is gone. Bridgewater is probably breathing a sigh of relief too

Maybe. Maybe Petrino keeps him on a short leash.

Facts ruin all our fun.

Petrino was probably 80% of the whole, so that's probably the case - for McGee, anyway.

There's a lot of truth in your statement MB.
